This silver-mounted French viola bow by Roger-François Lotte was made c.1970. It is unbranded and weighs 69.5g. It comes with a certificate from the Cabinet d'Archetiers Experts
François Lotte (1889-1970) is one of the most famous of the Mirecourt bow makers, whose work was prolific and well-respected. He worked in the Bazin workshop and then for Cuniot Hury. He set up his own workshop in 1926 and was later assisted by his son Roger François
