The Dodds are one of the most important families in English bow making. They are among the earliest makers whose names we know, thanks to many of their bows bearing the DODD stamp.

Research of contemporary records has shone new light on their careers, their movements and the use of shared workshops.

New information also supports an early link between the Dodds and the Tubbs family.

The book is available via the BVMA website: bvma.org.uk/shop/doddbook
