This silver-mounted violin bow is of the school of James Tubbs and was made c.1900. It is in good condition and weighs 60g

Stick: pernambuco (Paubrasilia echinata)

Mounts: silver, ebony (Diospyros spp)

Pearl: white mother of pearl (Pinctada maxima)

Thumb band: kangaroo leather (Macropus giganteus)

Lapping: silver
