Silver-mounted viola bow by Garner Wilson, 71g

Garner Wilson trained in bow making at the workshops of W. E. Hill & Sons before working on his own account in Bury St Edmunds and later near Inverness. This bow bears his 'signature' double ring on the frog

This bow is in very good condition with its original parts and weighs 71g

Stick: pernambuco (Paubrasilia echinata)

Mounts: silver, ebony (Diospyros spp)

Pearl: pink/green abalone (Haliotis spp)

Thumb band: kangaroo leather (Macropus giganteus)

Lapping: silver

Face: silver
