This silver-mounted English double bass bow was made by Stephen Bristow. It is in as-new condition and weighs 149g
Stephen Bristow trained at the workshop of W. E. Hill & Sons, then worked on his own account and with John Clutterbuck (also ex-Hills). This bow has an angled heel in the style of Percival Bryant.

Stick: pernambuco (Paubrasilia echinata)
Mounts: silver, ebony (Diospyros spp)
Pearl: pink/green abalone (Haliotis spp)
Thumb band: goat leather (Capra hircus)
Lapping: silver
Face: bone (Bos indicus)
