Silver-mounted cello bow by Garner Wilson, 78g

Garner Wilson trained in bow making at the workshops of W. E. Hill & Sons before working on his own account in Bury St Edmunds and later near Inverness. This bow pre-dates his 'signature' double ring on the frog, which is left plain

This bow is in very good condition with its original parts

Mounts: silver, ebony (Diospyros spp)

Pearl: pink/green abalone (Haliotis spp)

Thumb band: kangaroo leather (Macropus giganteus)

Lapping: silver

Face: silver
